Job Description

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater St. Louis is seeking a Workforce Developer. The Workforce Developer will work with the Saint Louis Internship Program to implement Clubhouse-to-Career (C2C) Pathways to Success, an innovative program whose goal is to develop and implement technology and work readiness curricula.


The Workforce Developer will be the primary support for participants as they develop specific technology skills, build work readiness skills and gain real world experience through internship placements and receive career guidance over time for jobs that can lead to broader opportunities in technology fields. Other duties for this position include

  • Seek out materials, data and other tools that will enhance the student training to address the assessment of job readiness skills for employment placement
  • Utilize methods and techniques of job development and student placement in conjunction with labor market trends
  • Develop and continuously maintain information management systems for employer recruitment
  • Initiate and maintain ongoing business contacts with a variety of entities and industry representatives to promote programs for participant placement
  • Research internet, newspapers, periodicals and other resources for job placement leads
  • Collects data from employers related to job skills and requirements for student participants
  • Market, gather, promote, and research internship, apprenticeship, and other work opportunities to area businesses


Qualified candidates will have a 4-year degree from an accredited institution and a minimum of 3 years of experience working in workforce development. Highly qualified candidates will have experience working with youth.
