WELDER | FABRICATOR
Role Clarity
REPORTS TO: Production Lead
DIVISION: Engineering & Operations
DEPARTMENT: Production
OVERALL OBJECTIVE
The Welder | Fabricator is responsible for fitting and welding steel parts using a MIG welding process. They are responsible for assembling parts and may be asked to perform other miscellaneous tasks as assigned by his or her supervisor.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Read and interpret blueprints, plans or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- MIG weld steel components based on the specifications of the blueprints and/or drawings.
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a specification.
- Ensure work is done safely and meets quality standards.
- Follow, create and help maintain welding specifications.
- Place and remove steel from steel racks and shelving.
- Cut and bend steel to specific sizes as stated on prints
- Set up welding cells for serial production runs.
- Operate machinery used in the production process or assist machine operators.
- Assemble items as instructed. Read and interpret blueprints and/or drawings to determine the specific welding requirements.
- Set up welding machines based on the job at hand or using a Welding Procedure Specification.
- Keep work areas clean and organized and take proper care of all equipment and facilities.
- Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task.
- Follow all safety rules and quality standards
- Work with team members to maximize productivity and efficiency
- Lift raw materials, final products, and items packed for shipment, manually (up to 50 pounds), or using an overhead crane/hoist.
- Other duties as deemed necessary by leadership.

QUALIFICATIONS
- High School Diploma or Equivalent – Required.
- Technical training in welding – Preferred.

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
