The Job:

Old North sends out two "shooters" on wedding days: a Lead Shooter and Second Shooter. We have openings in both positions, and would love to hear about what interests you.

Lead Shooters carry leadership responsibilities for scheduling and day-of shooting, as well as fostering relationships with clients and other vendors. Our Lead Shooters are experienced videographers who have worked consistently with Old North to master our visual style and have exhibited leadership, problem solving, and interpersonal skills necessary to consistently meet our high quality standards.

  • Lead shooters MUST have great communication skills and are required to have at least one phone call with your clients/couples assigned, as well as being reachable and responsive.

The Second Shooter is the starting position at Old North. Second Shooters are responsible for assisting the Lead Shooter by capturing cinematic, candid footage of the bride, groom, bridal party, guests, and other details that help tell the story of the wedding day. Other responsibilities may include:

  • setting up audio devices
  • some client relations
  • some equipment transportation

We are busiest from May - November and mostly on Saturdays (some Fridays and Sundays). We still get weddings in the off-season, but our need for contractor help is minimal between December - April.

We most commonly start new applicants as Second Shooters, but the job can move into a "Lead Shooting" position, which includes more booking opportunities, as well as higher compensation. Let us know if these opportunities interest you.

**All footage must be dropped off in person or through dropbox, google drive, etc no later than the following Tuesday of when the wedding was shot.**
