Job Description
J.P. Morgan Asset & Wealth Management, with client assets of $2.4 trillion, is a global leader in investment and wealth management. Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage risk - efficient multi - asset class portfolios aligned to an investment outlook
  • Coordinate trading and management of multi - asset portfolios within the team and with the portfolio execution team
  • Monitor performance and risk exposures on a daily basis - both of the portfolios themselves and the implementation used within them
  • Generate trade ideas for portfolios - both at the asset allocation and implementation level
  • Drive implementation decisions of our asset allocation views at the portfolio
  • Work closely with due diligence to have a deep understanding of implementation vehicle strategies, biases, and current risk exposures
  • Work closely with other members of the team to trade portfolios and maintain portfolio guidance

Key Competencies:
  • 3 - 5 years of experience in financial markets, preferably in a multi - asset context or across multiple asset classes; strong markets and risk management knowledge
  • Working knowledge of markets and macroeconomics with experience applying this knowledge to portfolio management and tactical positioning
  • Working understanding of investment strategies (alternatives strategies, factor/styles, etc.) across asset classes preferred
  • Incredibly strong attention to detail
  • Ability to coordinate and work well with others, particularly in the context of time-sensitive work and a complex operating model
  • Ability to take instruction and run with projects and analysis independently, strong judgment regarding when to solicit feedback/guidance from seniors/others on team
  • Strong competency in statistics and mathematics, specifically in the context of portfolio management
  • Strong technical skills preferred, specifically facility with: bloomberg, bloomberg PORT, excel, vba, python, sql, factset, haver
  • Ability to articulate portfolio and trade objectives at both a high level and at more nuanced levels within the team, with the portfolio execution team(s), and with portfolio specialists
  • Advanced degrees and designations preferable - relevant masters/mba/phd/cfa/rfm
