Warehouse Transportation Coordinator

Eaton’s Electrical Tripp Lite Business is currently seeking a Warehouse Transportation Coordinator to join our team. This position is based at our Chicago, IL location. Relocation assistant will not be provided.

The Transportation Coordinator is responsible for administering transportation in the Shipping Department. Daily activities include identifying consolidation opportunities, quoting, scheduling, documentation and freight bill exception auditing and approval.

In this function you will:

• Coordinating and scheduling daily transportation needs
• Summarize shipments for carriers picking up multiple orders
• Ensuring high service levels on tendered shipments (tracking and monitoring to delivery)
• Fielding internal customer service requests and inquiries
• Rate-shopping non-standard shipments for best cost/service alternative
• Rate-shopping non-standard orders for sales quotation/bid purposes
• Reconciling non-matching A/P invoices
• Shipping/Receiving consumables purchasing (PO Administration)
• Key Performance Indicator (KPI) tracking

Required (Basic) Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• Ability to effectively communicate with internal customers and external customers/vendors
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Time management, multi-tasking, ability to perform under pressure
• Verbal and written communication skills

Preferred Qualifications:

• Transportation experience within a large warehouse
• Experience with tracking shipments within a database
• Communicating with customers on orders and payment processing
