Warehouse Team Lead

Reports to: Warehouse Manager

Essential Functions/Responsibilities:

The Warehouse Team Lead position oversees the safe movement of materials into the plant and to the production lines, picking and packing through training, organizing & monitoring the work flow within the area(s) of responsibility.

• Safely lead the activities of team members in the movement of materials.
• Assist in training and coaching of new employees during the on boarding process.
• Supports team in moving materials, maintaining inventory and tracking supply levels.
• Assist Warehouse Manager in process improvements.
• Maintain open communication with team and motivate them to achieve goals.
• Achieve production targets by ensuring work availability, and readiness.
• Know and understand all operations within the assigned area.
• Assume responsibilities of Warehouse Manager in his/her absence.

Education& Experience Requirements

• Minimum 2-4 years in a warehouse role, 2 in a leadership capacity.
• High school diploma/GED. Associates degree preferred.

Qualifications and Preferred Skills

• Hands on leader who is a role model with high integrity, positive influence and strong business acumen embracing a safe work environment.
• Must be bilingual English/Spanish.
• Must be available to work overtime when needed to complete tasks.
• Previous experience operating motorized equipment.
• Strong interpersonal and communications skills both verbal and written
• Excellent track record of driving employee engagement.
• Strong leadership and organization skills as well as problem solving and decision making.
• Computer literate- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Outlook/Excel and Word. SAP preferred.
• Dedicated to quality in all aspects of the job.
• Able to work in a fast-paced, demanding business environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $23.00 - $28.00 per hour
