As a Warehouse Associate, your primary responsibility will be to handle and package materials for shipping, receive incoming materials for distribution, and maintain all documentation related to shipping/receiving.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Packages and handles materials in a safe and efficient manner
  • Receives deliveries and stock and verifies accuracy of the delivery against invoice
  • Properly loads and unloads trucks as instructed
  • Ensures that required documentation is complete and is in compliance with regulations and standards
  • Ensures warehouse cleanliness and checks materials and equipment to ensure proper operation
  • Follows all safety policies and procedures
  • Performs other duties as assigned
  • Maintains positive customer relationships and handles issues with professionalism and care
  • Delivers orders safely by following regulations, safely operating and maintaining the delivery vehicle, and using extreme caution while driving
  • Delivers product to specified locations, making deliveries in the most efficient, economical manner possible
  • Develops and maintains an organized and efficient loading and unloading system
  • Unloads merchandise according to customers' requests
  • Attends all staff meetings, trainings, and educational classes as required
  • Ensures that work areas are clean and that equipment, tools, and supplies are properly stored
  • Maintains a professional appearance, which includes wearing a clean uniform
  • Contributes to the inventory management process
  • Gains and maintains knowledge about all products in order to describe the features and benefits, answer questions, and suggest related items
  • Installs all types of batteries for customers, such as car batteries, watch and key fob, etc.
  • Interacts and communicates professionally with commercial customers
  • Maintains and promotes a clean, safe, and inviting store environment at all times
  • May be required to pick up/deliver products in the local area
  • Participates in cleaning activities for areas of the store, such as floors, windows, displays, parking lot, etc.
  • Provides fast, friendly service and actively engages customers, offering a friendly greeting and smile and making eye contact
  • Remains calm during periods of high volume and provides excellent service to all customers
  • Stocks shelves and sets up displays
  • Tests, analyzes, and diagnoses battery problems
  • Understands and communicates all store policies and promotions to customers
  • Whole-heartedly commits to our Customer Service Vision and strives to go the extra mile and create customers for life
  • Handles financial transactions and cash
  • Performs counter sales
QUALIFICATIONS
  • One year of relevant experience preferred
  • Forklift license (or willing to obtain license)
  • Reliable and dependable
  • Able to follow spoken and written instructions
  • Basic computer and internet skills
  • Able to bend, kneel, squat, stand, and lift heavy objects as needed
  • Valid driver's license
  • High school diploma or GED required
  • Must be willing to learn and acquire the skills necessary for the job
  • Neat and clean appearance
  • Able to operate a motor vehicle
  • Good decision making skills
  • Good time management skills
  • Must be able to interact and communicate professionally with commercial customers
