Job Description

Broadridge is hiring! We have an opening for a Vice President of Quality Assurance. This is a unique opportunity to join an excellent team and have a meaningful impact on the Quality Engineering strategy, automation process and culture. This role will focus on building out a new ICS Quality Engineering - Center of Excellence. The ideal candidate will play a key role in driving the ICS Quality Transformation Strategy.

We are looking for strong leadership skills, prior experience leading transformation efforts and industry-leading technical abilities that enable you to significantly influence and improve the current practices followed by the team. We look for someone that has a combination of solid in-depth knowledge of QA standard methodologies, Test Automation Engineering, Performance Testing, Test Data Management, Security Verification, Mobile Testing and QA Tools. The Vice President will serve as a ground-breaking technical and people leader providing insights to the executive leadership team on quality, automation and process scalability, and building and leading a world class technical team.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide senior guidance for a large and growing technology team of highly skilled QA Engineers across all QA towers
  • Creates engineering and operational perfection, establishing metrics and process for assessment and improvements
  • Be a change agent for the adoption of Quality Engineering practices within a heavily manually tested organization
  • Collaborate closely with all ICS QA tower leads to ensure streamlined engineering processes to release new enhancements with high quality and on a timely basis
  • Defines and drive the QA Test Automation strategy across the organization
  • Establish an automated QA Mobile Testing practice
  • Build and lead a new Test Data Management service offering to support the ICS QA towers
  • Provide leadership and oversight to the QA Security Verification team. Optimizing current processes, improving metrics reporting and increasing the overall coverage/support scope of the team
  • Implement unique and innovative solutions to optimize the current QA processes followed
  • Benchmark our processes, tools, and metrics against other industry standard Quality measurements
  • Recommends adjustments, corrections or changes that improve and/or simplify the overall processing or accuracy of the products produced documents systems and review steps for redundancies
  • Lead and maintain testing environments and all applicable 3rd Party Test tool licenses
  • Partner with developers, business analysts and other members of QA team to influence early testability guidelines, ensure proper test coverage and overall system reliability, performance, and quality to better utilize a “shift left” quality philosophy
  • Build strong partnerships with non-US based global leaders and supporting resources
  • Develop a culture (and personally emulate the values) of inter-group collaboration and partnership
  • Provide performance management to direct reports including: Coaching/training, performance reviews, team building activities, vision and values

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS

  • 15+ years of proven track record:
  • As a software developer, QA Engineer, or SDET
  • Hands on experience with Java or Selenium
  • Designing, implementing, and running test cases
  • Working with test processes, methodologies, tools, and technology
  • Performing functional and UI testing, quality reporting
  • 10+ years of technical QA management experience leading on and offshore resources
  • Passion for driving standard methodologies in the testing space
  • Thorough understanding of Functional, Stress, Performance, various forms of regression testing and mobile testing
  • Knowledge of software engineering practices and agile approaches
  • Experience building or improving test automation frameworks
  • Proficiency CICD integration and pipeline development in Jenkins, Spinnaker or other similar tools
  • Experience using test management tools like Quality Center & Jira
  • Proficiency in UI automation (Serenity/Selenium, Robot, Watir)
  • Experience in Gherkin (BDD /TDD)
  • Ability to quickly tackle and diagnose issues within the quality assurance environment and communicate that knowledge to a varied audience of technical and non-technical partners
  • Strong desire for establishing and improving product quality
  • Stronger leader willing to take challenges head on while being part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

  • Ability to work under timelines and within a team environment
  • Experience in test automation using UFT, Selenium & Serenity
  • UFT/Selenium experience in building object repositories, standard & custom checkpoints, parameterization, reusable functions, recovery scenarios, descriptive programming and API testing
  • Knowledge of VBScript, C#, Java, HTML, and SQL
  • Experience using GIT or other Version Control Systems
  • Experience developing, supporting, and/or testing web applications
  • Understanding of the need for testing of security requirements
  • Ability to understand API – JSON and XML formats with experience using API testing tools like Postman or SoapUI
  • Superb communication, collaboration, reporting, analytical and problem-solving skills

Required Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering, Information Systems or related field
