We are excited about the opportunity to work with you and glad you want to be part of a team of talented individuals who together can change the way the world communicates.Requisition ID: 68280 Position Summary The Vice President, Connectivity Product Line Management will provide leadership to manage product definition, specification, design, manufacturing, quality, test, and marketing activities through the product life cycle of the Diversified business. Responsibilities
  • Understands macroeconomic, market trends, and disruptor technologies that impact the Connectivity business. Then, anticipate actions to evolve and adapt the business model to the external environment
  • Creates and communicates to a more comprehensive Business Unit and champions vision and strategies for achieving growth, efficiency, and profitability goals.
  • Makes strategic choices to ensure growth and profitability objectives are being met.
  • Defines the “purpose” for the Vertical – what makes it exist and why should the enterprise invest in it.
  • Manages P&L and operating levers that drive value creation – this will involve making pragmatic and realistic choices on what to initiate, drive stronger, and defocus. Drive product portfolio top-line growth and GM%.
  • Focuses on competitors and ecosystems that impact the business competitiveness to anticipate business climate changes and their effect on the organization.
  • Interacts regularly with finance to review product cost models and assure that new product introduction (NPI) projects meet BU KPI’s for revenue and profitability
  • Drives a customer-centric culture within the team. Regularly interacts with executive and/or significant customers. Interactions commonly involve customer negotiations or influencing and persuading other senior-level managers.
  • Steers the activities of the broad functional area through several department managers within the DAS BU and the broader Skyworks having overall responsibility for planning, budgeting, implementing, and maintaining platform costs, methods and employees.
  • Works on complex System problems where analysis of situations or data requires an evaluation of intangible factors. Drives design teams for continuous improvement on the platform product cost model that will serve the global position of Connectivity.
  • Interfaces directly with the technology team to drive new platform technology developments and improvements that address product roadmap needs.
  • Coaches and Mentors direct reports to identify High Potential future leaders
  • Identify new technical strategies for staying one step ahead of the competition
  • Prepare research, communication materials and presentations for the senior leadership detailing operational performance, KPIs and investment needs
  • Promote a culture that reflects DAS Connectivity’s values. Set strength goals to create outstanding performance, promote an inclusive environment, and strengthen global team spirit within and across other business units.

Experience and Expertise
  • A proven leadership position in a group of diversified businesses
  • 15+ years of progressive significant functional leadership roles
  • Strong business acumen in a technically complex marketplace with exposure to multi-channel, multi-functional experiences in P&L Management Product Management
  • Demonstrated repeated and sustained organic and inorganic growth goal
  • Proven ability to manage execution risk through multiple business cycles.
  • Demonstrated ability to successfully balance the achievement of short-term objectives with longer-term strategy implementation
  • Proven ability to lead a global, dispersed, and diverse team, working through multiple channels
  • Strong experience in driving growth, leading organizational change, and having shown significant achievements from top-line growth to bottom-line profitability.
  • Experience operating in a matrix organization.
  • Demonstrated experience to ensure that operational excellence was established in a sustained way to deliver quality products on time, within cost to our customers.
