ViacomCBS Tech is hiring a VOD Coordinator

Summary :
The VOD coordinator will be tasked with content management and distribution duties ranging from transcoding, distribution. The VOD Coordinator will monitor quality assurance, checking availability of content on our Owned & Operated Showtime apps across multiple devices as scheduled.

Responsibilities:
  • Work closely with the team to ensure timely processing and distribution of content.
  • Recognize and diagnose video and audio issues encountered during the quality control process.
  • Responsible for quality control - Identify QC issues of video, audio, captions on transcoding files.
  • Responsible for Identifying any issues with video quality, frame rate, out of sync or missing audio and captions.
  • Responsible for solving, communicating, and advancing issues to the appropriate department and engineering when necessary.
  • Process late arriving content and live feed events such as Boxing.
  • Responsible for the QC of files on our Owned & Operated apps as they go live, also confirming availability across multiple devices/platforms. (Web, mobile, Apple TV, Roku, Fire stick, Xbox)
  • Monitors of our East/West Coast feeds within our apps and alerting appropriate teams of any issues or disruptions.
Basic Requirements:
  • 2 plus years of experience in the VOD/OTT space, having dealt with content management/processing and quality assurance.
  • 2 plus years of content ingestion/transcoding.
  • 2 plus years of video/audio/caption specifications/formats.
Preferred Experience:
  • Must be able to identify any issues such as but not limited to video hits, out of sync audio, missing elements, caption delays/drifting.
  • Familiarity with navigating different devices and platforms such as Roku, Apple TV’s, Fire sticks, Xbox, iOS, Android, Web and mobile.
  • College Degree preferred, (Ideally in the television/broadcasting and or communication field)
  • Strong multitasking and organizational skills as well as attention to detail.
