Visual Storyteller - Video Photographer/Editor

• 5+ years of experience in visual journalism or brand storytelling with a focus on video photography and editing.
• Bachelor’s degree

Amazon is looking for an innovative visual storyteller to join its growing Operations Internal Communications team. We are building a dynamic internal newsroom telling compelling and engaging stories of our 800,000 associates at the heart of Amazon’s Operations. You could be exactly who we’re looking for if you’ve got a journalist’s eye for a great story, are an artist with a video camera, a wizard in the edit room, and make magic happen when you combine all three. We’re not looking for a one-trick-pony, however. Bonus points if you’re just as confident with a still camera, are a natural interviewer, write compelling copy, and know your way around a broadcast control room – or aren’t afraid to learn.
This position must be based in Seattle and may require travel 25% of the time.

• A strong portfolio of visual storytelling on a variety of platforms.
• Superior organizational skills, especially with large volumes of digital visual content including video, photos and graphic assets.
• Experience balancing multiple projects – short and long-term – and delivering on deadline every time.
• Equally comfortable producing stories, from concept to final deliverable, solo or as a part of a team.
• Familiarity with studio and live broadcast production technology.
• Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders at all levels of an organization with sometimes competing interests, navigating ambiguity, and using feedback to create a superior product.
• On-camera abilities a plus, but not required.
