Job Title: Video Producer Department: Marketing Reports To: Director of Video Content FLSA Status: Salaried, Exempt Role Type: Individual Contributor SUMMARYWhen you join Seattle Sounders FC, you join a soccer-loving, socially progressive, ambitious club rooted in the best soccer city in America. Here we average approximately 40,000 fans per match, maxing out with over 69,000 fans when we won the 2019 MLS Cup on home soil. We exist to create special moments like these, where we enrich lives and unify our fans and city through soccer. Through both digital and live experiences, the Sounders FC Marketing department curates club, fan, and cultural stories to build meaningful connections and serve as leaders invested in the progress of our Seattle community. As part of the video team, you will be self-starter who can prioritize multiple projects at once and understands the digital landscape and the type of content it requires. As Video Producer, you will focus on creating video and motion content to share across multiple platforms. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of video production and motion design including producing, shooting, photography, and editing. The Video Producer proactively collaborates with all stakeholders to fully understand the scope and goals of each project. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Concept, shoot, edit video content to use on all Sounders FC platforms including digital, in-stadium and broadcast
  • Work in collaboration with digital, Social Impact, RAVE Foundation and corporate partners for video content needs to service organizational objectives and initiatives
  • Shoot video and photo assets at training sessions and home and away matches, including game action, interviews, behind the scenes content
  • Assist the digital team remotely for non-traveling away matches through in-match editing, on the fly content ideas and video publishing
  • Think strategically across platforms such as social, web, broadcast, or streaming services, while evolving with the everchanging content landscape
  • Work in collaboration with the video and marketing team on key moments throughout the season including schedule release, jersey launch, STM renewals and playoff campaign
  • Collaborate with communications staff for team and player coverage
  • Assist with the execution of corporate partnership features, while identifying new and unique revenue-generating opportunities via video content
  • Log and archive video content and broadcast footage throughout the season
  • Upload and publish videos to club’s CMS, YouTube and file sharing sites
  • Other duties may be assigned
Supervisory Responsibilities
  • Assist in managing external network of freelancers to create content

QUALIFICATIONS
  • 2+ years experience in video production and motion design from a fast-paced sports or entertainment organization
  • Strong knowledge of Adobe Cloud suite, specifically Premiere
  • Comfort with motion graphics and use of After Effects preferred
  • Proven experience shooting with Sony cameras and using production equipment
  • Ability to balance multiple projects under tight deadlines
  • Proficiency with creating video and motion graphics content across Twitter, Instagram, Facebook, TikTok and YouTube
  • Self-starter who works well in a team environment. Must be able to collaborate with other departments
  • Quick learner who can learn and adapt to new organizational processes
  • Flexible and adaptable work schedule for changing business demands
  • Attention to detail with a passion for flawless execution
  • Available nights and weekends; this role is expected to provide coverage for events outside of traditional work hours, while also working Sounders FC matches on location and remote
  • Passionate about working in soccer and sports
  • Fluency in Spanish is a plus
WORK ENVIRONMENT
  • This position will work primarily from home and expected to attend weekly training sessions at Starfire Sports in Tukwila, WA, home matches at Lumen Field, select away matches, events throughout Puget Sound region and meetings in market as needed
  • Must have reliable means of transportation to commute between multiple locations
  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
  • Must reside within Washington state by start date
  • Must be fully vaccinated at the time of hire and follow all club and league COVID-19 protocols
  • Must be able to carry, load and unload all necessary video/camera equipment – 25 to 50 pounds
  • Must be eligible to work in the US without sponsorship
