Role Summary/Purpose:

The Vice President Insurance Products - Pets Best will have responsibility for analyses as well as working cross functionally to manage the design, policy forms, rating, development and implementation of new and enhanced insurance products.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Works cross-functionally to develop and implement product and pricing strategies to meet growth and profitability targets

  • Perform research and market analysis of industry trends and competitive information related to pet insurance products and coverage

  • Develop, implement and maintain coverage forms, endorsements, declarations, underwriting manuals, rules guidelines and other related documentation as appropriate to implement new and modified insurance products/programs

  • Develop and maintain positive working relationships with underwriting partners, regulatory agencies, and industry associations.

  • Submit state filings related to company products and respond to objections to facilitate regulatory approval of modified and new products

  • Work cross functionally to ensure new and revised products are implemented accurately

  • Recommend ideal insurance structure for Pets Best

  • Serve as key contact for Synchrony Risk organization in managing Pets Best exposure

  • Perform other duties and/or special projects as assigned

Qualifications/Requirements:

  • Bachelor's Degree

  • Minimum of five years P&C insurance analytics and product development experience

  • Demonstrated advanced understanding of insurance pricing principles and underwriting practices, standards and concepts

  • Experience drafting and submitting rate, rule and form filings

  • Collaborative skill set with demonstrated ability to influence outcomes in a cross-functional, matrix organization

  • Can be located Remote USA

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills: business writing, developing pitches tailored to the audience, delivering presentations and leading meetings

Eligibility Requirements:

  • You must be 18 years or older

  • You must have a high school diploma or equivalent

  • You must be willing to take a drug test and submit to a background investigation as part of the onboarding process

  • You must be able to satisfy the requirements of Section 1033(E) Of the Violent Crime Control and Law Enforcement Act Of 1994

  • New hires (Level 4-7) must have 9 months of continuous service with the company before they are eligible to post on other roles. Once this new hire time in position requirement is met, the associate will have a minimum 6 months’ time in position before they can post for future non-exempt roles. Employees, level 8 or greater, must have at least 24 months’ time in position before they can post. All internal employees must have at least a “consistently meets expectations” performance rating and have approval from your manager to post (or the approval of your manager and HR if you don’t meet the time in position or performance requirement).

The salary range for this position is 100,000.00 - 200,000.00 USD Annual

Salaries are adjusted according to market in CA and Metro NY and some positions are bonus eligible.
