The Acquisition and Media team drives a consumer-focused marketing and media strategy that broadens awareness and consideration for E*TRADE and delivers new account and asset growth. As part of Morgan Stanley’s Wealth Management division, E*TRADE’s self-directed brokerage platform is part of a comprehensive suite of investing, trading, digital cash management and investment advisory services.
The Vice President, E*TRADE Acquisition Marketing will be responsible for developing best in class strategies for acquiring prospective new customers through addressable media channels (ie, SEM, Programmatic, Social). This role will be responsible for setting optimal media and investment strategy to effectively reach target prospect audience across performance-based media channels.
Specific Responsibilities:
Addressable Media Strategy: Lead performance-based media strategies across SEM, Programmatic/Display and Social reach and convert prospects to E*TRADE’s award-winning brokerage platform. Partner and Agency Management: lead relationships with media agencies and key media partners (ie, Google, Facebook, Twitter) Forecasting: Responsible for delivering new retail accounts and assets against weekly, monthly, quarterly and annual goals. Media Investment & Performance Optimization: Manage media investment optimization, performance measurement, attribution and media mix modeling. Media Innovation: Set innovation agenda that ensures a cutting-edge media practice, test and learn culture with an eye towards scaling current and future media partnerships. Ad Operations: Work with agencies and partners to set media tagging strategy and partner with internal marketing technology and site teams to execute, maintain and QA media tags.

QUALIFICATIONS


In this highly visible role, the successful candidate will have deep digital media and acquisition expertise with demonstrated indirect influencing skills to working effectively within a matrixed organization, plus:
  • Minimum 8 years relevant work experience
  • Addressable media experience (SEM, Programmatic, Paid Social)
  • Test and learn mentality with experience setting experimentation and measurement frameworks against designated KPIs
  • Experience managing a large media budget and accountability for monthly media performance, investment budgets and new account forecasts
  • Coach/player to lead team of 2 direct reports
  • Experience working with media agencies and partners (platforms, publishers)
  • Strong analytical skills, results and metrics-driven (experience with attribution models – LTA, MTA and Media Mix Modeling)
  • Comfortable with the technical side of media measurement (instrumentation, tagging)
  • Adept at using data and consumer insights to make decisions
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills
  • Energetic, inspiring team player who is results-driven and comfortable working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
