Job Description

The Agile Coach reports to the Project, Change, and Agile Management Capability Manager. The Agile Coach is primarily responsible for coaching, mentoring, and guiding the execution of Agile for all levels of the GCB Learning Organization. The Agile Coach plays a key role in executing the long-term strategy across the entire organization, helping teams optimize and deliver value-driven iterations/increments for clients. The Agile Coach collaborates with leads, managers, and squads to analyze the organization's existing requirements, identify the appropriate Agile framework to best deliver value and results, implement improvements, streamline processes, and create efficiencies.

A successful Agile Coach is a leader who inspires and motivates others. They are self-aware, highly collaborative, and create a culture of trust and psychological safety. They embrace and promote the Agile mindset and make growth and development a priority for both themselves and others, leveraging and promoting the 3 E’s of learning – Experience, Exposure, and Education. They take ownership of their work, as well as the work of others and the Bank and are focused on protecting the firm through effective risk management.

Responsibilities include:

  • Designing strategy for the adoption of Agile values, principles, and practices
  • Consulting with project teams to analyze current systems and processes to identify the appropriate Agile framework
  • Guiding teams in agile techniques, fine-tuning approaches as needed to ensure effective execution of overall strategies
  • Leading Agile workshops for key stakeholders, development, and functional teams
  • Promoting and advocating a culture of continuous improvement
  • Establishing processes that enable transparency, inspection, and adaptation
  • Driving cultural change by modeling and encouraging an Agile mindset
  • Facilitating learning and development through individual and team coaching
  • Coaching senior management in Agile practices to ensure adoption of best practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum 1+ years of experience coaching Agile individuals and teams (directly or indirectly)
  • Minimum 3+ years of experience working Agile projects of varying size and complexity (directly or indirectly)
  • Experience in Scrum, Kanban, and Lean
  • Agile Coaching certification (ICP-ACC, ICP-ATF), desired
  • Agile Scrum Master certification (CSM, PSM), preferable
  • Strong strategic and critical thinking skills
  • Expertise in training, coaching, and developing others
  • Demonstrated ability to inspire and lead others
  • Exceptional interpersonal and collaboration skills

Education Level

Bachelor’s/University degree or experience equivalent
