The Manufacturing, Supply Chain and Operations organization contracts and sources tens of billions of dollars on behalf of Intel Corporation. The scope of the organization covers a wide-range of goods and services from direct materials and equipment, to construction, software, consulting, health care benefits, travel, logistics and so much more.Supply chains have become more integral to corporate success as stakeholder expectations rise, product complexity increases, and risks to supply intensify in severity and frequency. Global Supply Chain Operations stands at the center of these demands, providing for the needs of the enterprise as well as the end-to-end Supply Chain. The organization focuses on developing and executing sourcing strategies which provide Intel with a competitive advantage by maintaining appropriate tension and balance between cost, quality, availability, technology, and sustainability. This role serves as the transformational leader of the global Construction and Facilities Supply Chain at Intel.

This is an extraordinary leadership opportunity for a highly-motivated and dynamic leader with demonstrated global construction contracting-through-build experience who can mentor, lead and drive a diverse global team. The Construction Facilities Supply Chain VP and General Manager leads all construction and contract management activities worldwide including sourcing, competitive strategies, contract development and administration, and supplier management for design, construction, facilities equipment, materials, transportation, real estate, utility infrastructure, etc. The FMS VP and GM partners and collaborates with Corporate Services, Technology Development, Fab/Sort Manufacturing, Finance, and additional customer organizations and/or stakeholders to deliver optimized construction solutions. This position reports to the Corporate Vice President within Global Supply Chain operations with 100+ managers and 1000+ individual contributors.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Driving improvements as well as automation of customer contracts negotiation and execution processes - this will include scoping, budgeting, outsourced or offshore contract negotiation capabilities and software-based workflow management tools
  • Leading the development of geo-based pre-construction proposals and pricing strategies, preparing proposal, and execution strategies/plans. Also supports communications and presentations to customers.
  • Effective use of industry benchmarks and metrics that define best-in-class performance to build credible and aggressive negotiation positions.
  • Communicate, influence, and interact globally to build strategic partnerships with customers/stakeholders /executive management.
  • Establish a data and analytics culture across the organization to proactively identify opportunities, model desired outcomes, and effectively manage performance to plan effective development and application of contracting methods to protect Intel's interests, deliver optimal results and minimizing risk to reduce cost/time while mitigating claims.
  • Execute supply chain management to ensure adherence to contractual commitments, proactively monitoring key performance metrics, and implement effective corrective actions to address deviations.
  • Ensure best-in-class execution of the design, pre-construction and construction processes for compliance with project objectives, including budget, performance, timeframe, environmental considerations and quality.
  • Oversee contracts and key relationships in the development of an industry-leading construction capability.
  • Responsible for leading, managing, coordinating, and administering construction services activities of multiple projects from the bid stage, through planning, engineering, procurement, construction, and project close-out.

Experience Required: Progressive and dynamic leadership experience, in a high growth and fast paced organization. Experience growing, managing and developing a large team of an industry-leading construction capability to support large scale, multi-billion dollar projects. Must have an executive presence in engaging with suppliers at the CEO level with constructive confrontation and collaboration. Ability to excel in leading in a highly matrixed development environment. High tolerance to ambiguity, ability to efficiently define concrete strategies and plans in such an environment. Executes toward results with focus and a sense of urgency.

Qualifications


Bachelor's degree required, MBA preferred with 15+ years of experience in contracts management or related fields.

Work Model for this Role
