Astor Automotive Services (AAS) has immediate openings for a Vehicle Inspector. We provide a premium service for auto dealers that sell, buy, and trade wholesale vehicles. You will be inspecting cars onsite at dealerships through our proprietary app. The inspections include diagnosing primarily cosmetic issues as well as performing an OBD2 diagnostic scan. Typically, our inspectors complete each inspection in 20-30 minutes and inspectors earn $20/inspection. Our representatives benefit from a relaxed yet intense entrepreneurial work environment with the chance to be part of a ground floor opportunity. You will have a direct impact on the company's results from day one and grow as AAS does.

What You Will Do:

• Assess interior and exterior of vehicle condition for damage, repairs, and missing parts

• Use diagnostic scanner to identify any diagnostic trouble codes stored on vehicle ECM

• Take high-quality photos of the vehicle to post on the digital application

• After inspection, submit required details of vehicle inspection, and perform all additional duties as assigned by the Inspection Manager

• Ensure all vehicles inspected meet the standards as defined by AAS

• Complete excellent inspections with high attention to detail

• Ensure proper follow-through on all directives and maintain strong communication with the team and your supervisor

• Perform other job-related duties as directed by supervisor

• Perform customer service functions within your assigned territory

• Travel to & from dealerships to inspect vehicles for your written condition reports

• Dealership relationship development

• AAS branding & field representative

What You Will Need:

• Self-motivated with a determined work ethic

• Excellent computer skills

• Keen attention to detail

• Flexible Schedule

• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills

• Automotive experience as a vehicle mechanic or equivalent mechanical background not required but a plus

• Willing to work outdoors mainly, except in inclement weather, but occasionally indoors

• Ability to stand, walk, or sit for prolonged periods of time.

• Ability to bend, stoop, squat, or kneel.

• Reliable transportation to travel to and from dealerships

COMPENSATION: $20/vehicle plus a volume/quality bonus pay
