POSITION SUMMARY: A CVT/Radiology Tech is responsible for assisting the radiologist, or other interventional provider, with invasive diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, which utilize advanced radiographic imaging equipment.
JOB REQUIREMENTS :
Education - Preferred: Graduate of a Committee of Allied Health Education and Accreditation (CAHEA)
Experience - Two years experience working as a radiographic technologist or equivalent, Experienced radiographer with competency in special imaging techniques demonstrating vascular and anatomical structures, Experience in Scrubbing interventional cases, Strong Understanding of Hemodynamics
Licensure/Certifications - Basic Life Support Certification Required, ACLS Certification, Registered by the American Registry of Radiologic Technology (ARRT), Recommend RCIS to be completed in two years of hire
JOB DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the administration of ionizing radiation to patients of all ages for diagnostic and/or research purposes, providing patient services, and performing radiographic procedures, including all aspects of fluoroscopic and digital imaging data acquisition and processing.
  • Scrubs in to assist with catheter and guide wire manipulation and assists with providing optimal patient care utilizing established and accepted techniques.
  • Demonstrates knowledge and skills necessary to interact with patients in a way that is effective and appropriate to the age of the involved patient population.
  • Position requires high level of customer service skills to establish and enhance positive relationships with patients, co-workers, and others.
  • The CVT/Radiology Technologist will work with Interventional Radiologists, Neurologists, Electrophysiologist, and/or Cardiologists.
