About the job

Google's Treasury team is on a mission to optimize the return on Google's financial assets. As a member of this team, you're always looking for innovative ways to help Google invest for the future while limiting volatility and material surprises. In addition to risk busting and asset management, you work collaboratively to administer business insurance programs and stock programs, and provide financial analysis support to our internal teams. You make creative yet calculated decisions that are backed by both experience and your extensive knowledge of the economy and financial industry.

The New Business Implementation team within Treasury has been formed to facilitate global product launches. Our mission is to leverage existing reliable and scalable banking infrastructures and payment networks to offer excellent product features and enable product success. In this role, you'll analyze and address complex banking limitations and requirements from a Treasury perspective. You'll work closely with our Product and Engineering teams to create innovative solutions and unique experiences for our users.

The name Google came from "googol," a mathematical term for the number 1 followed by 100 zeros. And nobody at Google loves big numbers like the Finance team when providing in depth analysis on all manner of strategic decisions across Google products. From developing forward-thinking analysis to generating management reports to scaling our automated financial processes, the Finance organization is an important partner and advisor to the business.

Responsibilities
  • Support the development of business requirements for product launches and other projects by designing legal entities, architecting banking structures, and identifying the supporting banking technology to optimally meet business needs, reduce Treasury risk and increase efficiency.
  • Develop an understanding of the latest innovations in the payments ecosystem and how they can be applied to Google’s business objectives.
  • Develop plans to respond to exogenous factors and global macro events that impact our banking and payments ecosystem.
  • Anticipate evolving payments landscape and emerging regulations that could impact Google’s billing system and proactively facilitate bank support required from Payments Product Managers and Billing Engineers.
  • Help manage operational initiatives with a strategic orientation while continuously improving the overall product intake process on behalf of Treasury.
