Job Description

A property management company, with over 40 years of successfully managing multifamily properties throughout NYC, is seeking an experienced Property Manager.

Responsibilities/Duties:

  • Oversee 200 + Units.
  • Address maintenance repair requests from tenants.
  • Responsive, consistent, positive and professional interaction with the construction team as well as residents.
  • Prevent violations, work to clear if issued.
  • Perform building inspections, including building systems, on a routine basis.
  • Perform apartment inspections.
  • Oversee apartment renovations and capital improvements.
  • Supervise building staff work being performed (Superintendent, Handyman, Porter).
  • Responsible for inventory control.
  • Establish and manage vendor relationships and contracts.
  • Report Lease violations.
  • Maintain preventative maintenance programs.
  • Oversee the turnover of vacant units for new residents.
  • Ensure that all construction work is done by building staff and third-party vendors are performed professionally and cost-effectively.
  • Prepare weekly reports for senior management and assist with the preparation of weekly scheduling.
  • Establish scopes of work, send to vendors for proposals and negotiate prices for repair work.
  • Help develop and implement best practices from a property management process and procedure standpoint.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation throughout the portfolio.

Job Requirements:

  • 5-10 years of property management experience
  • Strong communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Computer skills
  • Microsoft Office Word & Excel
  • Appfolio Property Management (preferred)
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Knowledge of city, state and federal programs and regulations
  • Experience with rent-stabilized leases
  • Understanding of NYC housing codes
  • Experience with monitoring repairs and maintenance work
  • Must have excellent project management skills
  • Strong organizational skills with attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently and follow-through.
  • Emphasis on leadership

Job Type:

  • Full time.
  • Compensation will be commensurate with experience.
  • The vehicle provided by the company.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $62,500.00 per year
