Job Description

We are seeking resumes from experienced transportation construction inspectors for projects in various PennDOT districts within the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Anyone with PennDOT experience, NICET, ACI, PennDOT Concrete Field Testing Technician, and/or NECEPT Bituminus Field Testing Technician certifications are strongly encouraged to apply. When submitting your resume please list all certifications you possess, date obtained, expiration date, and the corresponding identification numbers for the certification(s). Also, please specify in your resume the PennDOT districts in which you are willing to work.
Duties and Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

  • Inspection of roadway and bridge projects; testing of soils, concrete, and bituminous paving
  • Calculation of quantities for estimate payments
  • Review of construction schedules, following PennDOT documentation procedures
  • Oversee, inspect and monitor contractual fieldwork
  • Maintain project records CDS/NextGen and other construction documentation techniques
  • Recommend changes to construction plans to meet field conditions and provide project cost saving
  • Prepare work orders and monthly estimates

Job Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent.
  • 2 years of transportation construction inspection experience (Preferred)
  • Certification in at least one of the following: NICET, NECEPT Bituminous, ACI, PennDOT Concrete Technician, and CDS Field Office. (Preferred)
