Ardurra is seeking a Transit Practice Leader/Regional Client Services Manager to join our staff in the Austin, TX area.


Responsibilities
  • Lead and coordinate Ardurra’s transit growth initiatives
  • Help identify, pursue, win and support successful delivery of transit projects by identifying clients and client needs, marketing to clients for delivery of solutions
  • Coordinate with Ardurra leadership on planned expansion of the transit practice and resources needed to capitalize on market demands
  • Collaborate with Ardurra leadership and business development department to identify project opportunities and growth areas for the practice, and provide support for the pursuit process, including providing quality assurance for pursuit submissions
  • Oversee/coordinate with Client Service Managers (CSMs) for Ardurra’s transit clients
  • Guide and mentor staff to support career growth and enhance staff ability to successfully address transit clients’ needs
  • Lead the development of strategies and tactics that enhance Ardurra’s image and presence as a provider of transit services
  • May serve as Client Service Manager for designated key transit client(s)

  • Ability to mentor and help develop project managers, assistant project managers, planners, technical, and support team members
  • Strong oral and written communication skills to interact with corporate leadership, peers, employees, clients, customers, officials, and others
  • Ability to effectively lead meetings and make presentations
  • Demonstrates a high degree of creativity, foresight, and mature judgment in planning, organizing, and guiding the growth of the transit practice



Travel or Environment Requirements
  • Visually observing and differentiating details and colors of objects; recognizing sound, tone and pitch; speaking and writing clearly and effectively; adjusting to interruption and changes; working in hot, cold, and noisy work areas; standing, walking and sitting for extended periods; climbing stairs and ladders; dealing with people in tense situations, and lifting up to twenty (20) pounds.
  • Must have valid driver’s license and carry applicable auto insurance. Must have dependable transportation to attend meetings or to make field visits on a short notice.
  • Must be willing and available to conduct or attend some evening and/or weekend meetings.



Qualifications and Educations Requirements
  • Education: Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an ABET accredited program or related field. Advanced Degree is desirable. Experience: 25+ years, thorough knowledge of current principles and practices of planning and engineering as related to public transit, including commuter rail, light rail, bus rapid transit and express bus routes. Successful experience managing major transit projects. Knowledge: FTA New Starts and Small Starts processes and requirements.
  • Licensure and Certification: Professional Engineer licensure encouraged. Specialty Certification such as PMP desirable.
