Intel currently has an opportunity for a highly motivated and experienced Test Validation Application Engineer to utilize their test, software, systems, and technical skills, to provide support to Tier 1 customers in the 10G/25G/40G/100G Ethernet Controller market and support our market leading family of devices. Fundamentally, your role is the validation and test execution for the product and help customers bring their products to market rapidly and successfully.

Areas of responsibility include:

  • Implement function-level test plans and track test results, including hardware installation, setup / configuration, OS install and configuration
  • Execute bug replication system setups
  • Bug-Fix test validation and closure
  • Attend platform-level System-debug and Bug Scrubs where applicable
  • Assist where needed for test automation and debug
  • Submit test plan modifications / improvement ideas to test planner
  • You will need to be at Intel or customer site, as scheduled.


Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications:

  • High School diploma or equivalent and 8+ plus years of industry experience
  • Experience with Server and PC architecture, HW, and operating systems
  • Networking expertise in Windows, Linux, or VMware
  • Understanding Experience with Network VF concepts, setup, and debug
  • Experience with Ethernet switch configuration and setup
  • Experience using remote management tools for servers / hardware


Preferred Qualifications

  • AA degree or higher in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or other science/engineering related field.

  • Experience in performing direct OEM/ODM technical support and experience in communicating technical issues/problems to customers

  • Knowledge of advanced network concepts like Network Function Virtualization (NFV) and Data

  • Center Bridging (DCB)

  • Experience with RDMA, PXE/UEFI, NC-SI, PLDM, or RDE

  • Experience with Ethernet or PCI trace captures
