Job Description

Overview:


The Test Demonstration Driver (non-CDL) will travel to military bases to perform transport services in the areas of Light Truck, Medium Truck and Off-Road Utility Vehicles. The Test Demonstration Driver will pilot autonomous/self-driving military wheeled vehicles on a closed course as part of a ten-week demonstration event at Camp Grayling beginning on April 25, 2022. Military experience is not necessary. ASRC's home base is in Sterling Heights, Michigan. Applicants do not need to be based in Michigan.


Job Requirements:
  • Must have a valid state driver’s license and safe driving record.
  • Be able to take instruction and learn quickly so tasks can be performed efficiently and with high quality.
  • Highly motivated, self-starter, punctual and dependable.
  • Work well in a team environment.
  • Properly document all activities as required by the task and for reporting purposes.
  • Adhere to all established safety policies and standards maintaining a safe work environment for all.
  • Ability to travel up to 100%.
  • Ability to lift/move 70 pounds.

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Ability to obtain a T1 security clearance.

Preferred

  • Active Secret security clearance (T3 - Secret).
