Job Description:

Support the migration of the UEM job certification program from existing hardware devices to UT Austin UTLearn LMS.

General Notes

Please no phone calls or emails. The projected start date will be as of March 1, 2021 and it will have a projected end date of May 28, 2021 - possible extension. This temporary assignment may transition to regular status. This assignment will be remote, however the selected candidate must be flexible to work as needed on campus. The selected candidate must have a current Texas driver's license with a clean driving record.

Responsibilities

  • Assist with revising and uploading PowerPoint training modules to UTLearn LMS. Convert training modules from MS Word to Adobe PDF format and upload to UTLearn LMS. Assist with creation of tests/exams using external training software and upload to UTLearn LMS.

  • Assist with training accessibility implementations (i.e., module voiceovers, methods to assist employees with audible or visual impairments). Assist with updating safety data sheets and the chemical inventory. Will drive UT vehicle as needed.

Required Qualifications

High school graduation or GED. Three years of clerical experience, including one year of experience at the Senior Office Assistant level. Experience with clerical functions, including providing customer service, using a PC, performing data entry, answering a multi-line telephone, and experience in a service-oriented organization dealing with the public. Demonstrated ability to multi-task and effectively manage concurrent projects with accuracy. Ability to work independently and as a team member. Professional demeanor. Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and Adobe Acrobat. Relevant education and experience may be substituted as appropriate .

Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's degree. More than three years clerical experience. Experience at The University of Texas at Austin, or in a similar university setting, in a customer service oriented organization supporting clients. Knowledge of UT Define. Experience coordinating interoffice functions and communicating with diverse populations. Excellent organizational skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills.

Driving Required

This job requires a class "C" operator's driver's license. The applicant selected must provide a current three year driving record from the current state of residence. If not currently a Texas resident, a Texas driver's license must be obtained within 30 days of becoming a Texas resident.

Hourly Rate

$15.03

Working Conditions
  • Attire - Business Casual

Work Shift

  • The work hours will be from 7:00 a.m to 5:00 p.m. - the schedule will be agreed upon with the supervisor.

  • The assignment hours per week are - 20.

  • This assignment will be remote, however the selected candidate must be flexible to work as needed on campus at times.
