Essential Functions and Primary Duties

The Technology Transformation Manager at CBIZ Financial Services works within the Advisory Practice core team to define, collaborate, and deliver transformational initiatives that benefit multiple service units within the Advisory Division of CBIZ FS. The role will work with executive and senior management and service unit experts to operationalize and scale technology-enabled solutions that drive innovation in the services that we provide to our clients and effect enhanced efficiency in delivering services.

The role will utilize change and project management principles, processes, and tools to prioritize a portfolio of change initiatives, and oversee execution and adoption as we tech-enable our delivery across the service units. Change planning, communications, technical requirements and selections, project scheduling, and project / change delivery will all be primary activities of the position. The right candidate will have a current knowledge of disruptive digital technologies (ideally in professional services), experience implementing one or more solutions in recent times, and passion for helping colleagues embrace full the benefits of digital business.

  • Lead, guide, and support multiple workstreams / consultants through the design and implementation of targeted technology-driven change envisioned by the business.
  • Provide hands on technical management with demonstrable ability to multi-task and achieve technology change outcomes.
  • Conduct business / technical process analysis and the ability to deconstruct complex business conditions and criterion into a logical technology problem / solution(s).
  • Coach / present and guide other project team members and service unit leadership in the use of technology capabilities which are delivered.
  • Build and maintain effective partnerships and working relationships with stakeholders (IT, training & development, etc.) as well as internal client facing groups.
  • Flexible work hours and locations, depending on the needs of the business.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree, preferably in Technology, Business Management / Administration, or Project / Program Leadership.
  • 6 years of experience in professional services / consulting, with a focus on technology / business transformation initiatives (privately or publicly held entities at or above $200m).
  • 3 years of experience in technical project management which impacts hundreds of employees. PMP and/or Prosci change management certifications preferred.
  • Ability to clearly articulate (in writing and inter-personally) technology and business change concepts, with confidence in interactions across multiple levels of management.
  • Ability to analyze technology solutions for viability / fit-for-purpose, cost / financial applicability, and the effort to achieve.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other communications and project management toolsets.
  • Ability to prioritize, manage time effectively, escalate issues, and keep information confidential are critical to this position.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 6 years of experience in professional services or related field
  • 3 years of supervisory experience
  • Must have and preserve required licenses
  • Ability to manage all aspects of client engagements
  • Demonstrated ability to communicate verbally and in writing throughout all levels of organization, both internally and externally
  • Proficient use of applicable technology
  • Must be able to travel based on business needs
