We are seeking a highly motivated, skilled, and dependable Technician III - Gas Lead for the Service & Repair Facility in Pearland, TX . This person possesses the ability to service and repair the majority of Aggreko equipment utilized by the area where they are based. This position is required to lead and assist other technicians through the installation and operation of complex jobs such as multiple machine projects, high-voltage utility sites and/or low temperature process applications. Further, this position must be able to assist other technicians in troubleshooting equipment when breakdowns or failures occur.

Desired Skills: We’re Experts. You’ll have the following experience:

  • Minimum of High School Diploma is required

  • Minimum of 8+ years related experience

  • Extensive knowledge of Aggreko’s main product stream is required. This includes: Diesel Powered Generators, Electrical Distribution Panels, Oil Free Air Compressors and Temperature Control equipment

  • Strong desire to help others and provide exceptional customer service to internal and external customers

  • Red Seal Journeyman status as an Electrician or HVAC is preferred

  • Basic understanding of local OH&S legislation and regulations

  • Strong interpersonal skills

  • Ability to provide after hours and on call services as needed

  • PC Literacy is required

  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs of equipment and complete required documentation

  • Complete necessary paperwork in a timely and accurate manner which may include data entry and general use of computer systems and software as directed

  • Troubleshoot equipment failures in house, over the phone and on customer sites when required

  • Install and operate equipment as directed internally and on customers site when needed

  • Knowledge and ability to determine nominal and effective tonnage and or kW requirements

  • Thorough understanding and capability to read and understand schematics

  • Obtain and maintain necessary certifications required to operate equipment as outlined by federal, provincial and local ordinances

  • Prepare and provide various reports as requested to maintain accurate record keeping on equipment – including preventative maintenance records in a timely manner

  • Actively promote a working environment that is both positive and productive for all employees

  • Provide on-call and after hours support as needed

  • Maintain a positive attitude and perform under tight time constraints and sometimes stressful situations
