Medfield Public Schools is looking for a Technical Support Specialist to join their team.
A Technology Support Specialist is needed to support technology at Medfield Public Schools for all staff and students.
Technology includes, but is not limited to, MacBooks, Windows PCs, chromebooks, iPads, projectors and printers.
Reporting to the Director of IT, a strong candidate will possess high qualities of teamwork, communication, a strong desire to learn and self-management.
Previous work in a school setting is preferred. As a support technician, you must be well-versed in Windows and Mac operating systems and basic network functions.
Responsibilities: (but not limited to):
- Completes project work to benefit the building staff and/or students is required
- Utilizes daily ticketing system to monitor needs and requests of the building
- Timely resolves building issues and has high attention to detail
- Works diligently to troubleshoot and resolve reported wifi issues
- Reports accurately all escalated building tech issues
- Keeps updated records of work completed for personal note referral
- Works closely with teachers and tech integration staff to ensure technology is working as expected in the classrooms
- Repairs and replaces equipment as necessary
- Coordinates technology requirements for High School computer based testing
Requirements:
- Proven experience as computer technician or similar role
- Comfort with networking/wifi for troubleshooting and problem escalation reporting
- Possesses eagerness to learn and willingness to ask questions
- Strong organizational skills and interpersonal skills
- Strong troubleshooting ability
- Able to prioritize issues and work efficiently for timely resolution
- Has familiarity with Network, MCAS, iPad management and Google Admin best practices
- Self starter with the ability to work independently and in a group
- Communicate clearly both orally and in writing
- Enjoys project work and is self motivated to see a project through
- Excellent communication abilities a must
- Ability to convey technical information with non-technical users
- Has a knowledge of PA systems and clock
- Working knowledge of IP Cameras and card access systems
