Job Description

Our Technical Sales Representative will successfully win and on-board LFI (Lateral Flow Immunoassay) programs on time and on budget in order to help hit revenue and profit targets with new medical diagnostic accounts. This key person will work with Business Development Managers and the Technical Team members during the negotiations of the Development Agreements and then be responsible for leading the new medical device program through commercial contract.

Primary responsibilities for this newly created position will include:

  • Supporting Business Development Managers during the sales cycle of the program.
  • Providing technical support to sales during early stages of relationship.
  • Becoming the main program owner between our manufacturing location and the customer.
  • Managing 3-5 customer programs at a time.
  • Managing all communication between Web and the customer.
  • Developing, tracking, and documenting we are meeting committed timelines in our Development Agreements.
  • Providing customers with periodic (weekly and by-weekly) updates.
  • Working to understand and re-quote any changes in scope of the Development Agreement.
  • Guiding the customer through Web’s Medical Device New Product Transfer Process.
  • Assisting the company in closing formal Supply Agreements and Quality Agreements.

The successful candidate should have a minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Biochemistry; a leader with 3 years (minimum) of experience in the Lateral Flow Immunoassay market or adjacent Medical Device market is required. A background with experience selling or supporting sales in the medical device market including experience with technical solutions that involve biochemistry, contract manufacturing services, and/or converting services is a major plus. Although the preference is to have this person based at WI Boston, there will be significant travel required for this position with 30% of the time traveling to customers, suppliers or trade shows

To conform to U.S. Government aerospace and defense technology export regulations, including the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) you must be a U.S. citizen, lawful permanent resident of the U.S., protected individual as defined by 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3), or eligible to obtain the required authorizations from the U.S. Department of State.

Pay: $75,000.00 - $90,000.00 per year
