We are hiring remote positions in AL, AZ, CA, CO, FL, ID, IL, KY, MN, MO, NC, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, WA, and WI.Who We're Looking For: Technical Project ManagerThe Technical Project Manager is an individual contributor that collaborates with other technical project managers, non-technical project managers, and subject matter experts in and outside the Technology department! This individual works autonomously, tasked with leading more extensive, more complex, or cross-departmental technical projects. Mentor/train project team and stakeholders on project management methodologies and best practices. They will be accountable for leading company-wide process implementation, change, and communication. They are the subject matter authority in their field and the go-to contact for questions, issues, etc.related to any project they oversee.What You’ll doThe Technical Project Manager coordinates any and all cross-departmental and/or cross-entity projects requiring resources from the technology department. They are responsible for ensuring that company projects are completed effectively and efficiently. Provide project estimation and planning, including being responsible for scheduling and resourcing requirements. Perform overall project risk and issue management, and handle detailed tracking and mitigation planning. Also responsible for contributing to process improvement through team learnings, etc. Measure project performance using appropriate systems and tools. Build and maintain comprehensive project documentation. Ensure project completion to specification within an established timeline.DutiesIntegration management through all process groups of following:
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills

  • Cost management awareness/empathetic - think like an owner
  • Quality management
  • Resource management facilitation (matrix organization working with functional managers)
  • Communications management
  • Risk management
  • Procurement management facilitation
  • Stakeholder management
What You’ll Need
  • 4+ years of project management experience working with external partners. Preferred PMP and PMI-ACP certifications (will consider PM.MBA, CAPM, CSM, etc.)
  • Experience with Jira, Confluence, and Lucidchart (or process flow experience)
  • Strong business acumen and the ability to quickly digest and understand strategy
  • Understanding of industry-standard methodologies (SDLC, TDD, VCS, CI, etc.)
  • Working understanding and comfort implementing PMBOK and PMI-ACP reading list concepts
  • Preferred agency, marketing experience and technical background.
Specific Skills
  • Self-motivated with a keen understanding of project management processes, strategies, and methods
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines in these areas for others
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group; developers, product owners, and subject matter specialists
  • Ability to predict challenges and seek to proactively head-off obstacles
  • Strong sense of personal accountability regarding decision-making and supervising teams
  • Experience working in a high-level collaborative environment and promoting a teamwork mentality
  • Experience applying analytical thinking and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to independently lead the operational aspects of ongoing projects and serves as a liaison between project management, stakeholders, and project team
  • Ability to achieve results without direct reporting relationships
  • Ability to work with ambiguity (which can be how to make it less ambiguous)
