Job Description
Overview: John Bean Technologies Corporation (JBT Corporation) is a leading global technology solutions provider to high-value segments of the food processing and air transportation industries. The company designs, manufactures, tests and services technologically sophisticated systems and products for its customers. JBT keeps food cold and jets in the air. Its JBT FoodTech segment makes commercial-grade refrigeration systems, freezers, ovens, canning equipment and food processing systems for fruit, poultry, meat patties, breads, pizzas, seafood and ready-to-eat meals. JBT AeroTech manufactures and services ground support equipment (plane de-icers, aircraft tow vehicles and cargo loading systems), airport gate equipment (Jetway brand) and military equipment. John Bean Technologies was spun off from FMC Technologies in 2008. JBT Corporation takes its name from John Bean, a California inventor who founded Bean Spray Pump Company in 1884, the company that eventually became Food Machinery Corporation (FMC) though a series of mergers and acquisitions in the 20th century. (The original Bean Spray Pump technology was adapted to make a plane de-icer in the 1960s.)

Purpose of the Position:

Manage strategic talent acquisition of mid-to-senior level technical positions at JBT Corporation. This role will be specifically responsible for sourcing, identifying, screening and acquiring the most qualified and talented candidates across multiple geographies within in North America. Day to day efforts will focus on providing full lifecycle recruiting, research, sourcing, and preliminary screening of active and passive candidates for technical positions found in areas such as Engineering, Sciences, Research & Development, and specialized, niche professional roles within the business. Provide market research and analysis as needed for open positions and be a trusted business partner to Human Resources and Business Managers.

Responsibilities:

Sourcing Qualified Candidates

  • Create, recommend, and implement strategies to build pipelines through sourcing, referrals, research, and events.
  • Know and understand the competitive landscape.
  • Leverage and expand the talent network through social media sites.
  • Source qualified candidates, review resumes, and prescreen candidates while moving the interview process forward (includes phone screening and face-to-face interviews, administering technical skills tests, contacting professional references).
  • Establish contacts with qualified candidates and build long-term relationships using internet job boards and other networking tools.

Internal Business Partner

  • Develop and maintain close partnerships with hiring managers to gain a full understanding of their team’s responsibilities and hiring needs.
  • Move the hiring process forward in a timely manner through continuous contact with hiring managers.
  • Provide guidance and recommendations for talent acquisition process improvement
  • Act as expert talent acquisition resource in the technical space, keeping current with trends, key university relationships, and other industry contacts as needed.

Compliance and Performance

  • Possess basic understanding of OFCCP, EEO and other compliance requirements.
  • Ensure that EEO representation and retention is equal to or better than standard representation in the EEO job group.
  • Maintain hiring records to ensure compliance with federal/state EEO Guidelines.
  • Evaluate recruiting efforts to continually improve the process and quality of talent brought into the organization.

Talent Acquistion Strategic initiatives:

  • The Corporate recruiter will be partnering closely with the TA manager on strategic initiatives to take the TA department to the next level within JBT.
Few of the TA initiatives are below but not limited to-
  • Increasing JBT’s efforts to acquire Diversity talent across all levels in the organization- partnering with related associations and organization to gain access to such talent
  • Building a robust internship program across JBT North America
  • Continue to build and expand the JBT employer branding initiatives on Social media platforms
  • Be a SME for JBT’s applicant tracking system partnering with HRIS on all recruitment related systems
Qualifications:

Education

  • Mandatory: Bachelor’s degree in engineering, communications, business or business related field, 5+ years hands on sourcing and technical recruiting experience.
  • Preferred: MBA or HR generalist experience.

Skills and Experience

Mandatory

  • Extensive Technical Recruiting experience, preferably in a high growth manufacturing or similar environment supporting multiple technical hiring teams including Engineering and Sciences.
  • Developed &/or led one or more of TA program- such as ATS deployment, employer branding, recruitment of diverse talent, internship program, referral program etc.
  • Ability to grow into larger talent acquisition and/or human resources roles
  • Ability to confidently represent the company with professionalism and courtesy both internally and externally.
  • Ability to connect and effectively communicate with people of all levels.
  • Knowledge of MS Office products and applicant tracking systems.
