TECH - ENDOSCOPY

ResponsibilitiesUnder the supervision of a registered nurse, provides patient care through assisting the physician with Endoscopy and other minor procedures. Provides the appropriate supplies and equipment during Endoscopy Lab procedures and assists the RN in the recovery/prep area, as needed. Performs a variety of non-nursing functions associated with operation and maintenance of an efficient Endoscopy Laboratory including cleaning and maintaining equipment.
QualificationsHigh School Graduate.1 - 2 years experience in an acute care hospital, preferred. Basic medical terminology requiredCurrent BLS certification. GTS (GI Technical Specialist) certification preferred. Graduate of an Operating Room Technician course or equivalent on-the-job training preferred.
