Job Description and Duties

Position is located in the Sacramento Headquarters Building.

Under the general direction of the Business Taxes Administrator (BTA) I, the Tax Technician (TT) III is responsible for a caseload based on terminal digits, consisting of accounts collection cases. The incumbent independently makes initial contact with taxpayers on the less difficult collection cases, determines action to be taken, and follows-up accordingly. Upon referral from a Business Taxes Representative, Business Taxes Compliance Specialist, or the Business Taxes Administrator I, prepares documentation for discharge ed by use of a personal computer in accessing the individual's caseload. Actions taken are initiated and recorded on the personal computer, as are the case notes.
