Job Description Role and Responsibilities

  • Complete required daily duties to ensure the best guest experience, including but not limited to bar prep, cleaning, stocking, and merchandising
  • Conduct tastings with guests guiding them on their selections and educating them about the varietals and styles of wine
  • Adhere to all TABC requirements including but not limited to avoiding overserving any guest(s), avoiding serving any underage guest(s)
  • Maintain the cleanliness of the seating areas, counter areas, sinks and shelves at all times
  • Maintain honesty and integrity in the pouring of wines and ensure all tasting are poured appropriately
  • Alert bar backs when wine inventory is running low
  • Attend outside wine pouring events as required
  • Promote the sale of ErmaRose wine and Wine Club membership
  • Performs other duties as assigned by manager

Qualifications and Education Requirements

  • Experience in customer service
  • Ability to use a Personal Computer
  • Must have active TABC and Food Handler certifications at all times.
  • Must be 18 years of age to serve wine to our guests
  • Must possess a sense of urgency and positivity while being a team player
  • Must be able to work our peak times, including Fridays, Saturdays, Sundays, and some holidays
  • Must be creative, outgoing and possess good communication skills
  • Must have the ability to multitask and complete duties, tasks and projects, despite interruptions.
  • Must be able to remain standing and actively working for up to 10 hours with limited breaks
  • Must have the ability to lift up to 25 lbs. repeatedly.
