Job Description

Hewlett Packard Enterprise's Nimble Storage Organization is seeking a highly motivated Software Automation QA Engineer. As part of the team you will have the opportunity to perform software automation and testing of features for HPE Nimble's award winning storage products.

Nimble Storage Predictive Flash Platform delivers Data Velocity by closing the app-data gap. Day to day work will involve test plan documentation, bug reporting/isolation, writing test case automation and working closely with partner teams (development, product management, etc.) This position requires a self-driven individual with very strong technical and communication skills who can collaborate in a team environment.

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, Design, document, maintain, automate and execute test case scenarios for Nimble Storage systems
  • Contribute to the design, implementation and maintenance of a reusable and sustainable QA automation library that is built using Python.
  • Collaborate with Development and QA Engineers to build robust and efficient automated test libraries and scripts, touching the full stack from Host OS and adapters, to network switching components, to Nimble Storage arrays.
  • Enhance and expand the automation framework to accommodate new functional requirements.
  • Responsible for test execution for networking and high availability of the product.
  • Design functional, stress, scalability, HA type of tests for the product. Testing and configuration of clients and switches connected to Nimble storage arrays
  • Work closely with cross functional teams.
  • Create reports, engineering documentation, and best practices based on test results analysis
  • Collaborate with Development and QA Engineers to build robust and efficient automated test libraries and scripts.

Education and Experience Required:

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or equivalent.
  • Typically 3+ years’ of experience in a storage, network, or systems environment.

Knowledge and Skills:

  • Must have strong knowledge of Python
  • Expertise developing test automation software
  • Experience with Linux, Windows, Virtualization environments, QA processes, test planning, execution and reporting
  • Proven experience developing automated test systems
  • Strong understanding of QA and release processes.
  • Experience with enterprise storage arrays, and storage concepts such as deduplication, compression, snapshots, replication, etc.
  • Experience defining product testing strategies
  • Effectively manage multiple assignments or projects.
  • Self-motivated, Self-starter, Self-organized
  • Disciplined approach to test software development
  • Works effectively with cross functional and remote team members
  • Recognizes the importance of internal and external deadlines and works effectively under pressure
