JOB DESCRIPTION

Reporting to VP of Finance and Operations for our Billerica, Massachusetts operation. We are a growing medical device company looking for a Supply Chain Manager responsible for managing overall global supply chain and logistics to maximize operational excellence while driving operational efficiencies. This role is accountable for planning, purchasing, logistics and inventory for the USA operation. Additionally, responsible including strategic 3rd party contract manufacturers and the scheduling of production, capacity & planning required. The candidate must be a hands-on individual as responsibilities include procurement, qualifying new suppliers, second sourcing materials, Inventory management and cost reduction initiatives while ensuring a high standard of quality. Responsibilities:

MUST be authorized to work in the United States to be considered.

  • Leader of operational excellence and efficiencies while improving production goals and objectives to support business growth and customer satisfaction
  • Collaborative teamwork with Engineering, R&D, Operations, Quality and Regulatory
  • Critical role in developing and maintaining relationships with vendors and distributors
  • Supply chain management; procurement; production scheduling and jobs including 3rd party manufacturing
  • Supplier qualification, negotiating contracts, cost controls and ensuring a high standard of quality
  • Inventory management and balance thru detailed production planning and develop NetSuite ERP system
  • Establish key metrics reporting to management team
  • Logistics (Shipping and Receiving) and transportation requirements
  • Problem solving and corrective action thru identifying bottlenecks of internal/ external processes
  • Support R&D new product development initiatives
  • Quick learner who can think out of the box; an individual who will quickly need to learn our products and business systems

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree and 4 years of production planning and scheduling experience within medical device manufacturing
  • Knowledge of Lean manufacturing (Kanban), MRP and ERP inventory/manufacturing modules.
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Proficient with ERP systems and MS office
  • Superior oral and written communication to effectively interface with external customers, suppliers and vendors
