The supply chain analyst is responsible for a variety of internal initiatives as well as trading partner-related projects that involve large volumes of data. Data may be retrieved from multiple, unrelated sources with imperfect information. Additionally, this position will use and leverage a variety of software and modeling tools designed to optimize distribution networks, freight lanes or warehouse flow.

Responsibilities:

  • Project based work across multiple business functions that develops a thorough quantitative and qualitative understanding of current performance, identifies key findings, presents actionable recommendations, and forecasts expected results to senior leaders.
  • Solve complex business problems using critical thinking skills by converting large raw data files from multiple sources into compelling insights.
  • Interpret and understand stakeholder requests and develop an analytical plan that meets their needs.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute effective project plans.
  • Prioritize, manage, and drive multiple concurrent projects independently to successful completion by using effective time management skills.
  • Accommodate analysis requests from multiple stakeholders in a fast-paced environment.
  • Maintain a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail with data retrieval, manipulation, and calculation.
  • Create data driven models that support repetitive analytical needs.
  • Develop scorecards and dashboards that provide accurate and timely visibility into operating results using both internal enterprise data and external data sources.
  • Collaborate with internal team members, corporate functions, and field stakeholders as well as outside consultants to drive results.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree achieved with distinction in either a business-related discipline or in a quantitatively rigorous major. Master’s degree in relevant topics is a plus.
  • Five years of collaborative and multidisciplinary financial and / or operational analysis, modeling, and reporting experience within a medium to large sized organization.
  • Demonstrated experience with business intelligence software, data warehousing, query writing, and other data extraction techniques.
  • Analytical experience with sales, finance, purchasing, operations, and freight is a plus.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn new analytical tools and software.
  • Deep understanding of financial statements, cash flow, and financial concepts.
  • Strong ability to develop trusted interpersonal relationships.
  • Strong oral, and written communication skills including the development of presentations.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Products – Excel, Access, Word, Powerpoint.
  • Proficiency in data visualization software (Power BI, Tableau) is a plus
  • Experience with compiling raw data from ERP systems, performing analyses, summarizing findings, and presenting them to key stakeholders
  • Periodic multi-night travel
