Job Description

As a Supplier Operations Price Associate, you’ll collaborate with the Supplier Operations Net Price Manager and Price Analysts to resolve price variances on supplier purchase orders, review and process net price changes, extra charge updates, and process other pricing tool revisions.

  • Participate in training classes and actively seek professional development.

Price Discrepancy Support

  • Daily monitoring of supplier order requests received through shared email folder.
  • Review and assess the appropriate resolution to order discrepancy questions.
  • Compare price variance to information in our systems and agreed price contracts with suppliers.
  • Collaborate with suppliers and internal associates to resolve discrepancy.
  • Communicate resolution with supplier and coordinate necessary corrections on pricing tools as required.
  • Identify order price discrepancy trends and facilitate the pricing processes for correction in the system.

Net Pricing Support

  • Work with the Net Price Manager and Price Analysts to review, analyze, and approve assigned supplier price updates.
  • Daily monitoring and assessment of appropriate resolution of entries in the Springboard system.
  • Collaborate with price analysts, management, merchandising, and supplier to resolve questionable changes and facilitate the pricing processes.
  • Produce reports used to analyze and modify price information by the Price team, Supplier, Marketing, Merchandising, and Executive team.
  • Maintain a current understanding of market trends and how they apply to price changes.

General Expectations

  • Support Supplier Operations Team where needed to assist with other areas outside your assigned primary responsibilities to include special projects and benchmark data collection.
  • Team collaboration by backing up coworkers and offering ideas for continuous improvement.

Required education/skills/experience:

  • Minimum of an Associate’s Degree in Marketing, Business, Finance, or related degree. Applicants with equivalent directly relevant work experience will also be considered.
  • Demonstrable understanding of margins, markup, product life cycle, elasticity, etc.
  • Experience with price methods, costing, and competitive cost analysis preferred.
  • Experience in the promotional products industry preferred.
  • Proficient computer skills in Outlook®, Excel®, Word® programs with reporting programs knowledge of XLCubed and SQL preferred.
