For the last 10+ years, SunPower has been a leading partner to the New Home Builder Channel for solar installations. Much of our success stems from the relationships we have built and maintained with new homebuyers through our Interconnection Coordinators. The focus of this role is to manage a team of Interconnection Coordinators and provide excellent customer service in helping homeowners activate their new home’s solar system.

The performance of our Interconnection Coordinators has a substantial impact on SunPower, affecting both our profitability and our strategic positioning. We are seeking an outgoing professional to support the SunPower New Homes channel and manage a team of Interconnection Coordinators. It is vital for our Interconnection Coordinators to educate homebuyers on the solar activation timeline and obtain the required signed applications so that new home buyers’ have a streamlined experience with SunPower. To be successful in this role you will be responsible for driving the team’s performance, training and mentoring new hires, and ensuring the team has everything they need to set proper expectations with homeowners on the solar that comes with their new home. Having a customer service mindset will be vital when working with internal and external representatives.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Maintain high-end customer satisfaction by guiding the team in their homeowner interaction and training
  • Capture all customer-related data into SalesForce (CRM) and able to report on key team metrics
  • Superb organization skills to stay on top of a high-volume of 500+ homeowners the team in communicating with at any given time
  • Ability to meet and exceed service level agreements while working in a fast-paced environment
  • Develop as a subject matter expert on the solar and new home building industry and on SunPower products
  • Ensure quality service and operational performance within the parameters of program and delivery standards
  • Act as the single point of contact to coordinate customer resolution of service incidents and escalation


Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree and 4+ years related experience or equivalent combination of education and years of related experience

Required Qualifications:

  • Previous management experience and a proven track record of team development
  • Strong project management and communication skills
  • Strong computer skills, including strength in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to handle high email traffic
  • Comfortable with customer engagement
  • Highly organized and able to multi-task on the job

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with Salesforce
  • Naturally curious and focused on learning and getting better
  • Knowledge of solar and leased services
  • Customer service experience
  • Naturally curious and focused on always learning and getting better
  • Previous solar experience preferred

Physical Demands and Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to traverse/maneuver the job site for extended periods of time and survey/assess all aspects of the construction process
  • The position regularly works in outdoor conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, cold and freezing temperatures, and exposure to poisonous plants, insects, and allergens
  • Must hold a valid driver’s license and have the ability to travel between warehouse and job sites
  • The environment of this position is a combination of both office and outside external, customer home and job sites
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to use both hands, is frequently required to stand, sit, stoop, talk and hear (communicate verbally in person and via telephone), and be able to read computer screens, correspondence and report
  • The position requires travel with the potential of overnight stays between assigned facilities and various locations within the community. Less than or equal to 10% travel.
  • At times the job may require weight to be lifted up to 50 pounds
  • The job requires the following types of vision: close, distance, peripheral and depth
  • Work in an office environment and sustain posture in a seated position for moderate periods of time
  • Hearing must be adequate to perform job duties in person and over the telephone
  • Able to communicate orally with management, co-workers, and the public in face to face, one on one and group settings
  • Able to use and learn standard field operations equipment, standard office equipment and technology with proficiency
