Meet Our Team

As a key contributor to our clinical team, you will work closely with our clients by providing evidence-based, addiction treatment services to our clients at one of our treatment facilities. You will work alongside other clinicians and peers, and will report to the Clinical Supervisor or Clinical Director at your respective facility. The clinical team is responsible for delivering recovery based clinical services to individuals, maintain a caseload of clients, maintain and submit accurate and timely clinical records within our Electronic Heath Records system, create, in collaboration with the clinical team, an individualized treatment plan that focuses on recovery and relapse prevention, and will have significant to advance understanding of how the therapeutic behavioral health programs operation and how clients progress through the treatment system and full continuum of care.

Who You Are

You are an Addictions Counselor who is passionate about helping individuals suffering from substance use disorders and/or mental health illnesses. You are someone who realize that the disease of addiction doesn’t discriminate, and can therefore work with individuals from diverse backgrounds. You have the ability to treat those in treatment with respect and dignity, by providing quality services. You are trust worthy, empathetic, adaptable, compassionate and a great listener. You are a problem solver and is not afraid to have difficult conversations. You have the ability to positively influence the vulnerable. You have good interpersonal and collaboration skills, with the ability to work successfully with people at all levels.

You want to join an experienced, supportive team who is also passionate about helping individuals suffering from addiction and mental illness, achieve a better quality of life, sobriety, and abstinence from substance use/abuse. You understand that while the industry is demanding, your role is significant to helping our clients reach and sustain sobriety, thus you are willing to work at least 1 evening shift per week, and a rotating weekend shift as needed (if working in a residential environment). What You'll Do At Gaudenzia

  • Be responsible for a caseload of clients, as identified by program requirements and in accordance with state regulations.
  • Complete required evaluations and assessments, including screening, intake, clinical assessments, ASAM and biopsychosocial histories.
  • Compete individual treatment plans upon clients’ admission.
  • Document all clinical services and interventions performed within the clients ‘electronic record and complete monthly treatment reports.
  • Maintain accurate electronic records on each client and ensure the timely completion of tasks, within 24 hours of service deliver, no later than 72 hours of service delivery.
  • Conduct individual and group sessions based on clients’ treatment plan goals and level of care.
  • Participating in funding source reviews and make recommendations for treatment and lengths of stay.
  • Monitor client progress and adjust treatment plans as needed.
  • Coordinate with agency and community resources to ensure a through treatment plan.
  • Assist clients with developing a discharge/continuing care plan and connecting to resources needed to reach personal goals both during the course of treatment and in advance to their discharge.
  • Follow up with clients after discharge based on regulatory guidelines until they have been established with other case management/social services.

Pennsylvania Position Requirements: The most qualified candidate will hold either a license or certification (CAC, CADC, LCADC, LCADC, LSW, LICSW OR LGSW).

  • COUNSELOR 1-At minimum, an Associate’s Degree with two “2” years’ clinical experience “OR” a Bachelor’s degree with at least one “1” year of clinical experience.
  • COUNSELOR 2- At minimum, an Associate’s Degree with three “3” years’ clinical experience “OR” a Bachelor’s degree with two “2” years’ clinical experience.

Acceptable degrees include (but are not limited to): Social Work, Psychology, Addiction, Counseling, Human Services, Criminal Justice, and more.

Pennsylvania Licensure Requirements: All applicants must hold a professional license through DOC or be credentialed through PCB at the time of hire “OR” being working toward licensure or certification with a completion date of no longer than 3 years after date of hire. Acceptable certification and licensures include, but are not limited to: CAC, CADC, LCADC, LSW, LICSW, LGSW, etc.
