The School of Medicine is pleased to announce the opening of a Student Support Specialist II – Clerkship Coordinator position in the Department of Family and Community Medicine. This position works closely with others in the department to support the success of a variety of medical learners including medical students, residents, and fellows.

This position provides key support for Medical School Education. Provides technical and clerical assistance to faculty, FCM staff, preceptors, and Office of Medical Education (with teaching schedules, complex student and clerkship schedules, didactic materials, reports, database monitoring) and students (reviewing, evaluating and processing data to determine students' academic credit, admissibility, degree eligibility and Clerkship questions, schedules, evaluations and contacts).

  • Understands how the team integrates with others to accomplish team objectives.
  • Reviews, analyzes and processes information as directed.
  • Provides solutions to problems that are typical and atypical.
  • Impacts the quality, timeliness and effectiveness of the team.
  • Explains detailed information and regularly interacts with internal and external parties.

This position works as part of a team to support all medical education including residents and fellows.

Salary Range: $15.29 - $26.11 hourly

Grade: GGS - 007

Qualifications Minimum Qualifications

A Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills can be acquired is necessary.

Preferred Qualifications

Prefer 1 – 2 years in a student support role in Higher Education.
