Job Description

Paul D. Camp Community College is a small 2-year college in Southeast Virginia. Campuses are located in Franklin and Suffolk. There also is a center in Smithfield. The college offers associate degrees, certificates, and career studies certificates In transfer and career/technical programs; credit and non-credit workforce services and training for businesses and industries; special interest classes for the community; and summer classes for youth through the Regional Workforce Development Center. A dual enrollment program for high school students, online courses, and developmental studies classes are available at the college as well.This Student Life Coordinator will support students of the college by developing, scheduling, and implementing a comprehensive student life program that engages students in leadership, service, and learning. Administers the day-to-day co-curricular activities and programs for students to include overseeing student clubs and organizations, as well as other opportunities for student engagement.



Minimum Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Education, Psychology, Social Work or other Student Affairs related field (or any equivalent combination of training and/or experience).Proficient working knowledge of Internet applications and PC-based software (e.g. Microsoft Office Suite).Valid driver’s license and use of a personal automobile.Ability to work frequent evening and weekend hours.



Preferred Qualifications

Master’s degree in Education, Human Services, Student Personnel Services, Counseling, Communications, or related field related field.Experience assisting the public and providing student related advisement, admissions, teaching, or related community/educational services to a diverse population.Experience working in higher education and/or community college.Bilingual in English/Spanish.
