Job Description
The Strategy Analyst will assist in the development of responses for client requests and opportunities in the form of but not limited to; Requests for Information (RFI)/ Requests for Proposal (RFP) and energy program modeling. Experience with energy methods and procedures, technical understanding, documentation skills and familiarity with utility demand-side management (i.e., DSM) and conservation programs. This position will involve research in utility and energy efficiency programs, proposal content and formal presentation creation.




The Strategy Analyst creates draft versions of customer response content for management and technical review; compiles and evaluates team feedback, will work to reconcile all internal feedback. This person will also interface with subject matter experts— as well as contacts in sales, finance, legal, and business development to gather key information as needed.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES



  • Identifies and analyzes Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), ID/IQ Task Orders, and Requests for Information (RFIs)
  • Responsible for proposal content formatting and visual quality check of all graphic components of complex proposal documents within Microsoft Word. Includes creation of any client requested supporting documentation and/or forms
  • Facilitates response kickoff and structuring meetings, prepare proposal status meetings, review meetings and secures final approval for submission
  • Writes original content and/or edits relevant materials to create proposal components that have a cohesive written voice, and that clearly articulate both the sales messaging and technical detail of SEEL’ s offerings
  • Proofreads and edits proposal text and other authors for proper grammar, spelling, comprehension, and style. Also proofreads and edits existing project summaries and resumes of project personnel, and other supporting materials
  • Develops standard proposal-ready (boilerplate) content for use in future proposal efforts.
  • Responsible for thoroughly understanding the full array of SEEL products and services in order to fully and effectively represent SEEL to our clients or potential clients during the bid and proposal process


QUALIFICATIONS



  • Bachelor’ s degree (or equivalent experience) in business, engineering, or environmental science
  • 2 years’ experience in energy efficiency, demand side management (DSM) or similar. Solid knowledge of energy efficiency technologies and practices
  • Experience in a commercial proposal writing/development capacity in a fast-paced, dynamic corporate environment
  • Knowledge of national, regional and local energy efficiency initiatives
  • Experience in marketing campaigns, preparation of proposal packets, ability to research energy efficiency needs for the organization
  • Highly-polished communication skills— written and oral
  • Strong detail orientation, analytical and general business skills
  • Demonstrated ability to meet tight deadlines, and flexibility to change priorities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Outlook, Visio)
  • Experience in working with Customer Relationship Management Software
  • Ability to work well independently, manage time effectively, be self?directed and to write original content, as well as refine and compile information from appropriate boilerplate and technical documents
  • Requires excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Proven ability to work closely with a diverse group of sales and technical experts
