Job Description
What You Will Do:
Under close to general supervision, decontaminates, disinfects, assembles, packages, sterilizes, stores and issues medical/surgical instruments, supplies and equipment in accordance with UMMCs policies and industry best practices and standards. Fulfillment of the job duties requires the employee to have access to medication storage areas.

What You Need to Be Successful:
High School Diploma or equivalent (GED) is required.- A minimum of 6 months of experience in Central Sterile Processing with experience in decontamination, assembly, sterilization and sterile storage. If previous experience only involved work in one area such as decontamination, the incumbent will be placed in a trainee position until training with related competencies are completed.
- Certification preferred.
