Spaces are Twitter’s new audio room feature that allow people to go beyond 280 characters to have real-time audio-based conversations. As a product manager on the Spaces team, you'll collaborate closely with a cross-functional team of data scientists, designers, researchers and engineers to advance one of the company's big bets.

This role provides a rare opportunity to take a mass consumer product from 0 to 1 and define how the novel audio room format progresses. If you love working on compelling problems that have a real world impact on how people have conversations, this is the role for you.

Twitter's mission is to become the conversational layer of the internet. The Spaces team (within the Consumer Product org) helps serve this mission by providing a capability to have live audio-based conversations. We provide a new way to connect with others to have meaningful live conversations and deepen their knowledge about the interests they care about. We are a highly collaborative, scrappy team that is deeply obsessed with understanding our customers and highly responsive to their needs.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Have wide reaching, global impact on how people have conversations

  • Build a deep understanding of the audio room format and the specific needs our team can help serve

  • Facilitate the creation of a product roadmap amongst a team of talented product managers that prioritizes high-impact customers solutions and contributes to important company goals

  • Drive a workstream around making Spaces easily discoverable on and off Twitter.

  • Collaborate closely with engineering, design, user research and data science to build user-centered products people love.

  • Partner closely with other product teams to support efficient decision making, principled product ideation, and smooth project execution

  • Help facilitate the development of success measures for the team to understand impact and work closely with Data Science to track progress, make analytical decisions and drive to clarity.

  • Clearly and concisely convey our product vision to leadership and press to communicate the value of the work that the team is doing.

  • Report out progress and insights to the rest of the organization to generate a sense of excitement and gain buy in from key stakeholders.

  • Represent the work of the team with key partners in product marketing, curation, comms, public policy, policy and legal to ensure we clearly communicate to end users and align with key company objectives around health, privacy and security.


Qualifications


Who You Are

  • 6+ years of product management experience

  • A track record of shipping successful consumer-facing products

  • A proven understanding of engineering concepts and a technical depth that lets you connect with and earn the respect of our extraordinary engineering team

  • Established history of collaboration with user research, design, data science and engineering to come up with multi-quarter roadmaps.

  • Ability to remain energetic and positive, even in stressful situations

  • Demonstrate the maturity required to gracefully handle contentious issues around sensitive areas like politics, user privacy and misinformation.

  • Help foster a phenomenal product culture within our growing, distributed product management team

  • Experience with audio products and/or scaled recommendations is a plus.
