Sr Software Engineer, (Backend) Creatives Infra

Help us redefine the future of Ads development! We’re making foundational platform investments that will help us scale to support our next $10B of revenue in the coming years.

The Creatives Infrastructure team powers all ad formats at Twitter. We own the intersection between Twitter’s end users and our advertisers, and our systems are critical for most of Twitter’s revenue. The backend systems we own plug into systems across Twitter’s entire revenue and consumer stacks - including our mobile and web clients, our ML systems, our Ads serving stack, and our API.

You will contribute to foundational backend areas (e.g. Unified Cards Platform, Generic New Ad Supply platform, …) that allow product teams to build new creatives quickly, while ensuring the reliability and quality of all of our ad formats. This critical work will help Twitter accelerate product development and unlock new product use cases that will contribute to scaling to the next $10B of revenue in the coming years

Who you are:

• You are a proven engineer. Not only strong technically, but you have also shown that you can work effectively with product managers and other engineering teams.

• You have a fierce sense of ownership, caring deeply about the quality of everything that you deliver into your customers' hands.

• You love the challenge of engineering and are confident in your ability to bring clarity and direction to ambiguous problem spaces.

• You work well in a fast paced environment while deeply investing in long term quality and efficiency.

Qualifications

• 6+ years experience developing large scale distributed systems

• Fluent in one or more JVM based language such as Java or Scala

• Strong software engineering practices (e.g. coding, unit testing, code reviews, design documentation)

• Experience innovating in a service-oriented architecture

• BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Computer Science or similar technical field
