Job Description
Ria Financial is seeking a Sr. Network Engineer to perform a broad variety of technical engineering and project support for the maintenance, monitoring and enhancement of the company’s enterprise network infrastructure. His/her main focus will be to resolve advanced network (routing, switching, firewall, load balancing) issues as well as work on projects to support expanding or improving the company’s network environment. The position will work with other Sr. members of the Networking Team to validate network designs and configurations as well as Jr. members to implement the approved designs.

Qualifications
  • CCNP required
  • At least 7 years of hands-on experience with TCP/IP, IOS, switches and routers (mainly Cisco), communications protocols, security devices, and firewalls (ASA, FortiGate)
  • Knowledge of the Ethernet Switching (STP, Nexus, ACI), IP, IP assignment (subnets and supernets), IP routing (BGP, OSPF, EIGRP), remote access VPN, IPSEC, GRE, GETVPN, DMVPN, and VTI tunneling, and QoS
  • Broad understanding of all aspects of LAN and WAN operation, load balancing, routing, topologies, QoS, Multicast, network protocols, and WAN technologies; DWDM, MPLS, MAN, etc
  • Experience in network monitoring, analysis, and configuration of management tools (Solarwinds, Icinga, Grafana) as well as logging (ELK, Graylog)
  • Familiar with administration of current Windows versions and networking configuration
  • Understanding of current technologies and ability to evaluate emerging technologies (VoIP, SDN, SD-WAN, DDoS protection, managed wireless deployments, ACI)
  • Executes all job responsibilities and assignments promptly, reliably, honestly, and ethically
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Computer Science, Information Systems, related IT field or equivalent work experience
  • Minimum 7 years of experience in networking, including at least 5 years of experience in a global networking environment including collocated datacenters
  • Network-related certification preferred
  • Strong experience in network technologies and products from Cisco
  • Experience in developing and implementing business continuity and disaster recovery practices
  • Experience in Cisco Unified Communications, LAN/WAN acceleration, and load balancers (f5)
