Job Description
Responsibilities

In this role, you will provide direct patient care for a diverse patient population. You will work with clinic management, administration, faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, and other clinical staff to include LVN’s and MA’s and ancillary personnel in providing total patient care, maintaining high standards of care and recognizing normal and abnormal signs and symptoms of life threatening emergencies. You will also coordinate and prioritize tasks and protocols established by the department.

The LVN will assist the clinic with consults and procedures within scope of practice. Set up sterile field for procedures. Will also support imaging modalities with IV starts, screening forms and general center duties for patient flow improvement as needed at the North Hollywood Imaging Center. The location provides image guided invasive procedures, MRI/CT/IR, mammogram and ultrasound services. The LVN assists the radiologist with patient coordination, in addition to assisting the radiologist with procedural education during consultation visits. In addition, the LVN assists with screening patients where needed and assisting patients as needed.

Qualifications

  • Ability to be flexible in working both back and front office to facilitate smooth workflow
  • Ability to interpret EKG basic arrhythmias, the components of the EKG waveform including PR interval and ST segment.
  • Ability to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications
  • CPR/BLS card through the American Heart Association or the American Red Cross with the ability to perform CPR
  • Knowledge and ability to set up and assist physician with any procedures within ones scope of practice
  • Possess active LVN license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners and IV Certification
  • Skill to accurately perform a 12-lead EKG
