Senior Inventory Analyst / Full Time

Basic Function:

The Senior Inventory Analyst is responsible for development of demand plans and purchasing for their assigned categories. Create safety stock and inventory policies by analyzing order activity and forecasts to determine purchase quantities. Support company’s inventory strategies by meeting turn goals and reducing inventory levels while maintaining customer fill rates.

Job Requirements:

  • Bachelor of Science or a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business or a related field required.
  • 2+ years’ experience as an analyst, planner, or inventory manager
  • Strong organizational skills accompanied by the flexibility to quickly adapt in a fast-paced changing environment.
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills required.
  • Strong mathematical and analytical skills.
  • Clear and strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Excellent time management skills with the ability to work independently.


Principle Responsibilities

  • Manage and maintain inventory and safety stock policies to maintain goal inventory levels.
  • Ensuring timely and accurate forecast of customer demand by analyzing forecast variances, order, and retail sales trends.
  • Analyze statistical forecast models in Logility using historical factors and MAPE to ensure the system is developing the best forward forecast for each sku.
  • Review replenishment demand for purchasing suggestions and inventory location transfers if needed.
  • Determine buy quantities for all styles in area of responsibility and issue purchases orders.
  • Review new order forms for new style launches to determine inventory quantity needed and issue purchase orders.
  • Review inventory reports to Identify low volume skus and work with the sales team on an exit strategy.
  • Analyze current inventory levels with WIP and recommend purchase order expedites as needed.
  • Identify and consolidate obsolete skus with less than optimal OH units to sell to the Off-price customers.
  • Work on sku rationalization projects.
  • Adhoc inventory projects.
  • Build reports on an as needed basis to better analyze inventory levels against goals.

Additional Eligibility Qualifications

  • Forecasting/Demand planning experience is a plus
  • Knowledge of MRP/ERP systems
  • Experience with Logility, John Galt or any supply chain planning software is a plus
