Sr Electrical Engineer

CTDI is looking for a Senior Electrical Engineer to join our corporate Engineering team and will work as part of a dynamic team of Mechanical, Software, and Robotics Engineers, in a fast-paced environment with an ever-changing set of businesses and facilities to support. This position will be design, build and setup automated test hardware and software systems for Consumer Electronic products such as Smart phones, tablets, streaming media devices, audio devices and accessories. Knowledge of Consumer Electronics product testing or manufacturing testing is highly preferred for this role.

Job duties can include:

• Responsible for developing new test systems for functional testing of consumer electronic products
• Generate engineering documents, including schematics, diagnostics, flowcharts, and project status reports.
• Ability to build hardware for test systems and write software for test systems.
• Analyze technical requirements and effort associated with test systems and products.
• Develop automated test and repair capabilities
• Build, test, debug and develop C#, Python, JAVA or LINUX applications.
• Working with Junior engineers in reviewing code and developing strategies of testing various functional features
• other duties as assigned

Required Skills

• Clear discriminatory approach to solving engineering problems.
• Understanding of hardware architecture
• Understanding of analog, digital, and microprocessor circuits.
• Understanding of audio, video and RF formats and circuits.
• Familiarity with Audio and Video Test technology.
• Experience with IP networks and Linux
• Ability to create/analyze detailed technical documentation.
• Experience coding with C#/JAVA/C++ is a MUST
• Knowledge of LEAN is helpful.
• Strong organizational and follow-up skills.
• Excellent analytical, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Ability to work as an individual as well as in a Team environment.
• The ability to manage multiple tasks.
• Ability to interact professionally with the customer in written and verbal communications.
• Occasional travel required.

Required Experience

• S. Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field of science.
• 5-8+ years’ experience with test engineering.
• Ability to build test systems and configure software for test systems.
• Consumer electronics technical experience and overall understanding preferred.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, Access, and Project), report preparation, and data analysis.
• Experience in testing and debugging C# code and Hardware is a Plus
• Experience in developing test instructions and procedures
• Working knowledge of Visual Studio
• Working knowledge of C# and LINUX.
• Working knowledge of Python is PLUS
